How do I download my gas and electric utility bill history from PG&E?

It is fast and easy to get your utility usage and share it with QuitCarbon.

  1. Log in to your PG&E account at https://www.pge.com/
  2. Navigate to Energy Usage Details within the Usage and Rates dropdown menu:

  3. Click the green button in the lower right (it says "Green Button - download my data")

  4. Below the electricity use graph, find the grey box - this is where you'll enter a date range for your energy history. NOTE: PG&E's website currently has a bug that makes this grey box very small! There is no way to expand this grey box - we hope PG&E fixes this soon. Until they do, you'll need to scroll up and down in the grey box.

  5. Scroll up in the dark gray box and enter a date range of at least the most recent 12 months.

  6. Select CSV format and click the blue button to Export your data — your energy history file will download to your computer

  7. Navigate to your Downloads folder

  8. Upload it to https://app.homepowerplanner.org
