The 30C: EV Charger Tax Credit is a tax credit that helps you save up to $1,000 on the installation of an electric vehicle charger at your home. To qualify, your home must be in a low-income community census tract or a non-urban census tract. This credit covers 30% of the cost of purchasing and installing the charger, including labor and associated equipment.

- To determine if your home is in an eligible census tract, use the 2020 Census Tract Identifier and check your 11-digit census tract geographic identifier (GEOID) against the IRS's list of qualified census tracts.
- The credit applies to property placed in service between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2032.
- Keep all receipts and records of your purchase and installation costs.
- When filing your tax return, claim the credit using Form 8911.
