Overview
The Burbank Water and Power Used Electric Vehicle Rebate offers residents up to $1,000 when purchasing a pre-owned electric vehicle. To qualify, the vehicle must be at least two years older than the purchase year. For example, in 2025, eligible vehicles are from 2023 or earlier.

More Information
- The vehicle must be at least two years older than the calendar year of application.
- The vehicle must have an electric plug-in capability and charge through an external cable.
- The vehicle must be on the California Air Resources Board carpool sticker list.
- Rebate requests must be submitted to BWP no later than four months from the date of purchase.
- Application must be signed, dated, and contain all of the supporting documentation.
- A rebate check will be mailed to the applicant within 6–8 weeks of BWP receiving the application and all supporting documentation.
- Rebates are not guaranteed and some limitations apply.
- Rebate program is subject to change without notice.
- BWP is not responsible for rebate applications lost or destroyed in the mail.
