The City of Palo Alto offers a $500 rebate for homeowners replacing gas cooktops or ranges with electric models. To access this rebate, you must first submit a rebate application online before your contractor performs the work. After approval, you have 120 days to select a contractor, complete the installation, and submit the final rebate application with required documentation, such as invoices and proof of permit inspection. Separately, Palo Alto also offers a $50 rebate for portable induction cooktops!
This rebate only applies to replacing existing fossil fuel appliances.
