The City of Palo Alto offers a rebate for electrical prewiring, wiring, and circuit upgrades. You can save up to $2,500 when preparing for an appliance upgrade. This includes $1,000 per circuit for wiring and prewiring, and $500 per circuit splitter or pauser. This rebate applies to new heat pump water heaters, heat pump space heating and cooling systems, or electric cooktops and ranges.Benefits

To access this rebate, you must submit a rebate application online, including photos of your existing appliances to be replaced, before your contractor performs the work. After approval, you have 120 days to select a contractor, complete the installation, and submit the final rebate application with required documentation, such as invoices and proof of permit inspection.
