The City of Palo Alto offers a rebate for homeowners replacing their electric resistance water heaters with heat pump water heaters. To qualify, the new heat pump water heater must meet Product Tier 3 or higher standards. This rebate provides $500 to help offset the cost of your upgrade.
This rebate only applies to replacing existing electric resistance appliances.
