Rebate Overview
Overview
QuitCarbon is excited to share the City of Palo Alto's Heat Pump Water Heater Rebate, a $500 incentive for homeowners replacing their electric resistance water heaters with energy-efficient heat pump models. To qualify, the new heat pump water heater must meet Product Tier 3 or higher standards. This rebate is provided by the City of Palo Alto Utilities.
This rebate only applies to replacing existing electric resistance appliances.
Benefits
Upgrading to a heat pump water heater offers numerous advantages. These systems are safer, cleaner, and smarter than traditional gas water heaters. They eliminate the risk of open flames and harmful emissions, reduce indoor pollution, and can be programmed to heat water during off-peak hours, saving on energy costs. Additionally, heat pump water heaters use up to three times less power than gas water heaters, making them a cost-effective choice for homeowners.
