The City of Piedmont offers a rebate for homeowners replacing existing gas appliances with electric heat pumps. This rebate provides $1,500 to help cover installation and labor costs. To qualify, the upgrade must be permanently installed in a single-family or multifamily building, with a building permit submitted on or after January 3, 2023, and installed by a licensed contractor with an active City of Piedmont business license. This rebate only applies to replacing existing gas appliances.
