Rebate Overview

Overview

The City of Piedmont offers a rebate of $1,500 for installing a ducted central air source heat pump. Low-income residents can receive double the incentive, totaling $3,000. To qualify, applicants must provide proof of income eligibility, such as a copy of their utility bill showing participation in the CARE or FERA discounted rate programs, verification that the unit is deed-restricted affordable housing, or a copy of their tax returns. This rebate applies exclusively to replacing existing fossil fuel heating systems with energy-efficient heat pump systems.

Benefits

Upgrading to a heat pump system can enhance your home's comfort and energy efficiency. Heat pumps provide both heating and cooling, ensuring a pleasant indoor environment year-round. By reducing reliance on fossil fuels, this upgrade also contributes to a cleaner, healthier environment.
