This rebate is available when installing another rebate-eligible appliance and requires the new panel to accommodate future electrification, including all appliances and an electric vehicle charger.

- To qualify for the low-income rebate, your household income must be at or below 80% of the area median income.
- Rebates are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis until all funds are expended.
- Rebates are only available for heat pump water heaters, high-efficiency heat pumps, and electrical panel upgrades for new equipment.
- Property owners can apply for rebates for multiple appliances (i.e., heat pump water heater and ductless heat pump).
- To be eligible for the rebate, applicants must be City of Piedmont property owners.
- Applicants must provide proof of property ownership, equipment receipts or paid invoices, installation receipts or paid contractor’s invoices with contractor’s license number, photos of installed equipment, and documentation of approved final inspection.
- Product(s) must be new, and installation must be issued a Building Permit by the City of Piedmont.
- Limit of one rebate application per residential unit.
- Rebates are issued as checks.
