- To qualify, the heat pump must replace an existing gas furnace.
- The unit must be certified by the Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) and listed in the AHRI Directory of Certified Equipment.
- The Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) should be 16.0 or greater, and the Heating Seasonal Performance Factor (HSPF) should be 8.5 or greater.
- The heat pump may be added to buildings without existing air conditioning systems.
- For low-income residents, the rebate amount is doubled to $1,500.
- The program is set to end on March 28, 2025.
