The City of Solana Beach offers a $500 rebate for homeowners upgrading their electrical panels. This upgrade is necessary to support new home electrification, such as installing a heat pump water heater, and should have capacity for future electrification, including an electric vehicle charger.

More Information
- Rebates are available on a first-come, first-served basis until all funds are expended.
- To qualify, the panel upgrade must be required to support a new home electrification upgrade, such as a new heat pump water heater, and have capacity for future electrification of all appliances, including an electric vehicle charger.
- Applicants must provide proof of property ownership, equipment receipt or paid invoice, installation receipt or paid contractor invoice with contractor’s license number, photos of installed equipment, and documentation of approved final inspection.
- Rebates are issued as checks.
