QuitCarbon is excited to share the CleanPowerSF Electrify Your Home rebate for electric clothes dryers. By upgrading your gas dryer to an eligible electric model, you can receive a $300 rebate. Additionally, CleanPowerSF offers a $50 monthly bill credit for six months after the upgrade. Please note, these bill credits extend the duration of credits you receive but do not increase the monthly credit amount. For example, if you received the credit incentive for another appliance and got 6 more months of credits, that would extend your total by 6 months rather than doubling your monthly credit to $100. To be eligible for the Dryer Upgrade Program, you must meet a few requirements:
- Replace a gas dryer with an eligible ENERGY STAR Certified electric clothes dryer.
- Comply with the permit requirements of the Department of Building Inspection. Not to worry - your QuitCarbon-referred contractor will ensure this happens.
