Overview

The CHARGE! incentive program offers a $300 rebate for purchasing a Level 2 electric vehicle charger for your home. To qualify, you must reside in El Dorado County and own or lease an electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle. The rebate covers the cost of the charger itself; installation expenses are not included.

More Information

• Applicants must submit a claim form and supporting documents within six months of purchasing the charger.
• Required documents include proof of residency, proof of vehicle ownership or lease, a copy of the charger purchase receipt, a photograph of the installed charger, and a copy of the final building permit if a new 220/240-volt outlet is installed.
• The Air Quality Management District will inspect the installation before disbursing the rebate.
