QuitCarbon is excited to share the GO ZERO: Heat Pump Heating and Air Conditioning Rebate, a program offering rebates up to $1,500 for homeowners who install ENERGY STAR® certified heat pumps. To qualify, your heat pump must be installed on or after June 24, 2025, and your building should have fewer than five attached units. This rebate is limited to one per dwelling and applies only to existing fossil fuel appliances being replaced.

  • To qualify for the full rebate amount, you must reside within an overburdened community designated by areas identified under Senate Bill 535. You can search for your home address and see if it is in a qualifying location using the Cal Enviro Screen website.
