By removing your existing gas heater, you can receive a rebate of $2,000; if you choose not to remove the gas heater, the rebate is $1,500. To qualify, your new heat pump must be certified by the Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute and have an efficiency rating of at least 17 SEER and 10 HSPF.
