By removing your existing gas heater, you can receive a rebate of $2,000. If you choose not to remove your gas heater, the rebate amount is $1,500. To qualify, your new heat pump must be certified by the Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) and meet specific efficiency standards: a minimum of 17 SEER (16.2 SEER2) and 10 HSPF (8.5 HSPF2).
