Overview
The IID Mini-Split Rebate is a $200 rebate offered by the Imperial Irrigation District for homeowners installing a new ductless mini-split heat pump system with a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio 2 rating of 17.1 or higher. This rebate is available to residential customers of the Imperial Irrigation District. Applications must be submitted by December 31, 2025. An invoice or receipt providing the qualifying product information, proof of purchase, and other measure-specific requirements must be submitted.

- To qualify, the new mini-split system must be installed directly in the conditioned space of the home by an IID participating contractor.
- Rebate applications must be submitted online.
- Applicants need to upload a paid-in-full receipt for the mini-split system and installation, a photo of the installed system, and a photo of the system’s serial number.
- Only one rebate is allowed per mini-split system; dual-port systems are eligible for a single rebate.
- Residential rebates are capped at $5,000 annually per customer account for all rebate programs combined.
- A customer may receive a rebate for the same product type only once every five years.
- Rebates are limited and may be terminated without prior notice.
- Self-generating customers’ rebate amounts will be determined by the percentage of their total energy usage that is not offset by their photovoltaic system.
- Customers who self-install products must obtain any required permits from their local jurisdiction.
