Island Energy offers a rebate of up to $600 for the installation of a Level 2 (240-volt) home charging station. This rebate covers the actual out-of-pocket costs, including the EV charger purchase, installation, and permit fees. To qualify, applicants must own or lease a plug-in electric vehicle or hybrid with an electric range exceeding 30 miles per charge. Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician and inspected by a utility technician. The incentive is available on a first-come, first-served basis until funding is expended or the program is discontinued.
