The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) offers a rebate for homeowners upgrading to an ENERGY STAR® qualified heat pump water heater. This rebate can save you up to $1,500 on your new unit. If your equipment is ultra-efficient, you may save up to an additional $1,000. Your QuitCarbon-approved contractor can help determine the best equipment for your home.

More Information
- This rebate applies to replacing existing water heaters.
- To qualify, your new heat pump water heater must be at least 30 gallons in size and have a Uniform Energy Factor (UEF) rating greater than 3.3.
- Rebates are available for equipment purchased and installed on or after November 1, 2025.
- To apply, complete the rebate application after purchasing and installing your new heat pump water heater.
- Applications must be postmarked within 12 months of the purchase date.
