The Heat Pump Water Heater Rebate is a $500 incentive offered by the Modesto Irrigation District to encourage homeowners to upgrade their water heating systems. To qualify, the new heat pump water heater must have a Uniform Energy Factor (UEF) of 2.2 or higher and a capacity exceeding 40 gallons. Additionally, it should be installed outside the air-conditioned living space, such as in the attic, garage, crawlspace, or an unheated/unfinished basement.
