The Orange County Power Authority Residential Battery Rebate Program offers a $1,000 rebate to eligible homeowners who install a qualifying battery energy storage system. To qualify, you must have purchased your battery system on or after July 14, 2025, and it must be an approved model by the state, with a capacity of at least 5 kilowatt-hours. You can only receive one rebate in total.

- Required Documentation: After installation, submit proof of purchase or lease agreement, an installation invoice, a photo of the battery, and a photo of the battery nameplate.
- Rebate Processing: Once your claim is approved, a $1,000 rebate check will be mailed to the address provided in your application.
