Overview
The Orange County Power Authority's Residential Battery Rebate Program offers a $1,000 rebate to eligible homeowners in Fountain Valley who install a qualifying battery energy storage system. To qualify, you must have purchased your battery system on or after July 14, 2025, and it must be an approved model by the state with a capacity of at least 5 kWh. You can only receive one rebate in total.

- The system must serve the OCPA customer address listed on the rebate application.
- While enrollment in demand response or time-of-use optimization programs is not required, OCPA encourages participants to explore these options to maximize system benefits.
- Systems installed, leased, or purchased prior to reservation approval are not eligible.
- Rebates are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to the availability of program funds.
- Rebate payments will be processed and disbursed within 30 business days of application approval.
- To remain eligible for the rebate, the battery system must be installed, and a completed claim form must be submitted within six months of reservation approval or by May 15, 2026, whichever comes first.
- Participants must also submit the permission-to-operate (PTO) issued by Southern California Edison within six months of claim approval.
