QuitCarbon is excited to share the Peninsula Clean Energy 0% Financing program, offering zero-interest loans up to $10,000 for homeowners in San Mateo County and the City of Los Banos. This program helps fund the installation of electric heat pump water heaters, heat pump heating and cooling systems, and electrical panel upgrades. Loans cover the entire project's cost, including labor, and can be combined with additional rebates to further reduce expenses. There are no fees or credit requirements, making it easier to upgrade your home to cleaner, more efficient energy solutions.

More Information
- Eligibility: To qualify, you must be an active Peninsula Clean Energy residential customer, the legal owner of the residence, and have the PG&E bill in your name with a $0 past-due balance on your last three PG&E bills. You can have no more than one active loan with Peninsula Clean Energy.
- Eligible Upgrades: The loan covers the installation of electric heat pump water heaters, heat pump heating and cooling systems, and electrical panel upgrades.
- Loan Terms: Loans are available up to $10,000 with a 0% interest rate. Repayment terms range from 2 to 5 years, and payments are conveniently included in your monthly electric bill.
- Contractors: To be eligible for the zero-interest loan, you must work with a Peninsula Clean Energy-approved contractor on your electric upgrades. All of the upgrades eligible for the loan are also eligible for a rebate from Peninsula Clean Energy. The rebates reduce the total project cost and, therefore, the total amount you’ll need to borrow. The rebates will be provided directly to your contractor along with the amount borrowed—you won’t need to put any money down for the rebate amounts.
