The PWP Level 2 EV Charger Rebate is a program offered by Pasadena Water and Power to help homeowners save on the cost of installing a new electric vehicle charger. You can save $200 on a standard wall-mounted charger, and if you choose a Wi-Fi-enabled or Internet-connected charger, your total savings can reach up to $600. Please note that portable chargers do not qualify for this rebate.

More Information
- The rebate applies to new, wall-mounted Level 2 EV chargers that are Wi-Fi-enabled or Internet-connected.
- Portable chargers are not eligible for this rebate.
- All electrical work must be performed by a qualified and licensed contractor in accordance with local codes, permitting, and inspection requirements.
- An electrical permit from the City of Pasadena’s Building and Safety Division is required for the installation of a hard-wired EV charger or new/modified 240 V power socket.
- The rebate is limited to two chargers per residential address.
- PWP reserves the right to perform an on-site inspection as part of the application review process.
- The rebate amount will be based upon the actual cost of the charger. Incentives received from other parties/agencies should be subtracted from the unit before applying for rebates from PWP. The rebate amount shall not exceed the costs of the equipment.
