The PWP Level 2 EV Charger Rebate is a program that offers rebates to Pasadena Water and Power residential customers who install a Level 2 electric vehicle charger at their home. You can save $200 on a standard wall-mounted charger, and if you choose a Wi-Fi-enabled or Internet-connected charger, your total savings can reach up to $600. Please note that portable chargers do not qualify for this rebate.

More Information
- The rebate applies only to new, standard wall-mounted Level 2 EV chargers.
- Wi-Fi-enabled or Internet-connected chargers qualify for the higher rebate amount.
- Portable chargers are not eligible for this rebate.
- The rebate covers only the cost of the charger itself; installation and permitting costs are not included.
- An electrical permit from the City of Pasadena’s Building and Safety Division is required for the installation of a hard-wired EV charger.
- The rebate is limited to two chargers per residential address.
- PWP reserves the right to perform an on-site inspection as part of the application review process.
- Rebate amounts will be based upon the actual cost of the charger. Incentives received from other parties/agencies should be subtracted from the unit before applying for rebates from PWP. The rebate amount shall not exceed the costs of the equipment.
