Pasadena Water and Power offers the Mini Split Rebate, a program that provides homeowners with a rebate of $150 per ton when purchasing and installing a qualifying mini-split heat pump. If you buy your unit in Pasadena, you can receive an additional $20 per ton rebate, bringing the total to $170 per ton. This rebate applies to units with a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio 2 (SEER 2) rating of 15.3 or higher and a Heat Seasonal Performance Factor 2 (HSPF 2) rating of 7.8 or higher. The maximum rebate amount is $950. This rebate is available to residential PWP electric customers. To qualify, the heat pump must have a SEER 2 rating of 15.3 or higher and an HSPF 2 rating of 7.8 or higher. Purchase your unit in Pasadena to receive an additional $20 per ton rebate. Submit your online rebate application after installation is completed, along with a copy of your detailed receipt or invoice and the required supporting documents, within 180 days from the date of purchase. Once approved, your rebate check will arrive in 6 to 8 weeks. This rebate only applies to replacing existing appliances.
