Pasadena Water and Power offers the Used EV Rebate, a program that provides a $250 rebate for purchasing a used plug-in electric vehicle. To qualify, the vehicle's model year must be at least two years earlier than the purchase calendar year. This rebate is available to residential electric customers, with a maximum of two rebates per account. If you buy a used EV from a Pasadena auto dealer, you can receive an additional $250 bonus rebate, totaling up to $500. Income-qualified customers may be eligible for an extra $1,000 rebate, bringing the total to $1,500. Please note that the federal used clean vehicle credit ended on September 30, 2025, but PWP's rebate continues to be available. Consult a tax professional to confirm your eligibility.
