This rebate is available for used Battery Electric or Plug-In Hybrid vehicles purchased or leased after January 1, 2023. Homeowners can receive up to $1,000, with qualified low-income customers enrolled in RPU's SHARE program eligible for an increased rebate of up to $2,500. To qualify, applicants must be active RPU electric customers, and the vehicle must be registered at the applicant's RPU service address. The vehicle must be purchased from a commercial used vehicle auto seller and be approved for highway use. Applications must be submitted within 180 days of purchase, and only one rebate per household is allowed every three years.
