QuitCarbon is excited to share the Riverside Public Utilities Used EV Rebate, a program that offers up to $1,000 for purchasing or leasing a used Battery Electric or Plug-In Hybrid vehicle after January 1, 2023. If you're enrolled in RPU's SHARE Program, you could receive an increased rebate of up to $2,500. This rebate applies to replacing existing vehicles with qualifying used electric vehicles.

More Information
- To qualify, you must be an active Riverside Public Utilities electric customer.
- The EV must be registered at your service address.
- The vehicle must be purchased from a commercial used vehicle auto seller.
- If you're enrolled in RPU's SHARE Program, you may be eligible for the increased rebate.
- Provide a copy of the purchase or lease agreement and current California DMV registration.
- Submit your application within 180 days of purchase.
- Only one EV Rebate per household every three years.
- The vehicle must be approved for highway use; electric scooters, bicycles, golf carts, and low-speed vehicles are not eligible.
- Rebates less than $500 will be applied as a bill credit; rebates of $500 or more will be mailed as a check within 6-8 weeks.
