QuitCarbon is excited to share the Riverside Public Utilities Used EV Rebate, a program that offers up to $1,000 off the purchase or lease of a used electric vehicle. This rebate is available for vehicles acquired after January 1, 2023. Qualified low-income customers enrolled in RPU's SHARE program can receive an increased rebate of up to $4,000!

More Information

  • Applicants must be active Riverside Public Utilities electric customers.
  • The electric vehicle must be registered at the applicant's service address.
  • The vehicle must be purchased from a licensed California used vehicle dealer.
  • Low-income customers enrolled in the SHARE program are eligible for an additional $3,000 rebate, totaling up to $4,000.
  • Applicants must provide a copy of the purchase or lease agreement and current California DMV registration.
  • Applications must be submitted within 180 days of purchase.
  • Only one rebate per household is allowed every three years.
  • Vehicles must be approved for highway use; electric scooters, bicycles, golf carts, and low-speed vehicles are not eligible.
  • Rebates under $500 will be applied as a bill credit; rebates over $500 will be mailed as a check within 6-8 weeks.
