Rebate Overview

Overview

The San José Clean Energy EcoHome Rebate Program offers a rebate of $0.75 per square foot for attic insulation, up to a maximum of $700. If you qualify for the California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE) or Family Electric Rate Assistance (FERA) programs, meet certain income limits, or reside in a qualifying community, you can save an additional $300, bringing your total savings to $1,000. To qualify, you must also pair this insulation update with a new heat pump heating and air conditioning upgrade. Additionally, you must apply for a funding reservation before your project installation starts.

Benefits

Upgrading your attic insulation can make your home more comfortable by maintaining a consistent temperature year-round. It can also enhance your home's energy efficiency, leading to lower utility bills. By reducing energy consumption, this upgrade contributes to a healthier environment by decreasing pollution from gas appliances.
