- Enrolling 80% of the battery’s capacity allows SJCE to automatically use up to this amount on a daily basis to provide financial benefits to the applicant and help reduce energy demand during peak times.
- The remaining 20% of the applicant’s battery’s capacity will stay in reserve for use during outages or other needs.
- Once enrolled in Peak Rewards for Smart Homes, the applicant must remain enrolled in the program for at least three years, following the date that their Peak Rewards application is approved.
- The applicant will receive payment for automatic battery adjustments through the Peak Rewards for Smart Homes Program.
