The Santa Barbara Clean Energy Mini Split Heat Pump Rebate is a program that offers homeowners up to $1,000 off the cost of installing a mini split heat pump system. This rebate is available when you replace an existing electric resistance heater or furnace.
This rebate only applies to replacing existing electric resistance appliances.

- Rebates are available on a first-come, first-served basis while program funds are available.
- Applications are accepted from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, or until funding is fully subscribed.
- To be eligible, applicants must be active customers of Santa Barbara Clean Energy with an account in good standing.
- Applicants must own a single-family home, duplex, townhome, or mobile home served by Santa Barbara Clean Energy.
- Mobile and manufactured homes must be individually metered.
- Applicants must continue to receive Santa Barbara Clean Energy’s generation service at the location where the upgrades will be installed for a minimum of five years from the date of installation.
- Rebates are limited to one per electric account per fiscal year.
- Rebates are available for equipment purchased and installed between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026.
