Overview
The SCE Pre-Owned EV Rebate is a program that offers rebates to homeowners who purchase or lease eligible pre-owned electric vehicles. Depending on your household income, you could receive a rebate of $1,000 or $4,000. To qualify, your vehicle must be a pre-owned Battery Electric Vehicle or Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle listed on the HOV Eligibility list at the time of purchase. Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and Compressed Natural Gas vehicles are not eligible. The vehicle must be purchased or leased and remain registered to you in California for at least 20 months. It should also be registered to your SCE residential service address. Rebate checks are mailed to the address listed on the vehicle’s registration card.
