Overview
The SmartHome Battery Program is a rebate offered by Ava Community Energy to help you save on your new home battery installation. You can benefit twice: first with an installation rebate, and then with ongoing participation payments over five years. To participate, you'll need to share a portion of your battery's capacity with Ava's Virtual Power Plant, unless you're income-qualified. Tesla customers are required to share 80% of their battery's capacity.

Additionally, you can earn monthly participation payments, typically between $10 and $36, based on the capacity you share.
