Overview
The SMUD Charge@Home rebate is a program offered by the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) to help homeowners save on the cost of installing a Level 2 electric vehicle (EV) charger. This rebate provides up to $450 toward the purchase of a qualifying Level 2 EV charger and/or up to $200 for a Circuit Sharing or Energy Management Device. Additionally, you can receive up to $500 for the installation of an eligible EV circuit through the SMUD Contractor Network. To be eligible, the EV charger unit and/or Circuit Sharing or Energy Management Device must be purchased on or after December 8, 2021. The rebate is available on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to the availability of funds. Payments are made only to the SMUD customer of record.
