Overview
The SMUD Mini-Split Heat Pump Rebate offers homeowners a $3,000 rebate for replacing existing fossil fuel heating systems with energy-efficient mini-split heat pump systems. To qualify, the new system must have a variable-stage compressor and a connected thermostat. Additionally, the system must pass Title 24 via HERS CF3R, and if new ductwork is installed, it must be insulated to a minimum of R8.
This rebate only applies to replacing existing fossil fuel appliances.
