Overview

Sonoma Clean Power offers a $1,000 rebate for homeowners installing a heat pump system for heating and cooling. This rebate applies only to replacing existing fossil fuel appliances. To qualify, the entire system, including both the outdoor condenser and indoor equipment, must meet the required SEER2 rating. Please consult your design technician to ensure both components meet the criteria. The outdoor condenser may have a certain rating on its own; however, different ratings apply to the entire system based on the matching indoor unit.

• Eligibility: This rebate is available to homeowners replacing existing fossil fuel appliances with qualifying heat pump systems.
• Documentation Requirements: To apply for the rebate, you will need to provide the following:
  • Final permit
  • AHRI certificate
  • Paid invoice
  • Photo of the installed system's nameplate
• Program Rules: Program rules, rebates, and eligibility may change at any time. The installation address must be an SCP account. Projects must be submitted no more than 90 days after completion. Heat pump systems paired with a gas heating element are ineligible for rebates. Customers are eligible for one rebate per appliance type per account number.
