- Eligibility: Homeowners in Sonoma and Mendocino counties who are replacing existing fossil fuel heating and cooling systems with heat pumps are eligible for this rebate.
- Application Process: To apply, work with a qualified contractor to install your heat pump system. Ensure you obtain a building permit for the installation. After installation, submit photos of the new equipment, proof of project costs, and a copy of the city permit to apply for the rebate.
- Additional Incentives: Eligible customers may also qualify for a $1,000 bonus rebate if they are enrolled in the CARE or FERA programs. This bonus is available for each heat pump HVAC and heat pump water heater rebate, with a maximum of $4,000 per electric account.
