Overview
Silicon Valley Clean Energy offers a rebate called the HPWH Low Income Bonus. This rebate provides $1,000 for replacing an existing electric resistance water heater with a heat pump water heater. To qualify, the new heat pump water heater must have a Uniform Energy Factor (UEF) of 3.3 or higher, be a split system, or be a 120-volt model.
This rebate only applies to replacing existing electric resistance water heaters.
