The Truckee Donner Public Utility District offers a $1,000 rebate for homeowners replacing their gas water heaters with energy-efficient heat pump water heaters. To qualify, the new unit must have a Uniform Energy Factor (UEF) of 2.5 or higher.

This rebate only applies to replacing existing fossil fuel appliances.
