- The heat pump water heater must meet specific requirements, including having a CEC JA-13 thermostatic mixing valve, a CTA-2045 Compliant Communication Port, and be at least Tier 3 on NEEA's most recent list.
- You must enroll in a demand response program within 30 days of installation, and the rebate is not available for split-system water heaters.
- Income qualification is required, with eligibility for those under 80% of the area median income or 250% of the federal poverty level.
