Introducing the Solar Battery Savings Program, a rebate initiative designed to make home battery systems more affordable. By pairing a new home battery with solar panels, you can save $350 per kilowatt-hour (kWh). If you already have solar panels, the rebate is $250 per kWh. For those enrolled in CARE or FERA programs or living in a Community of Concern, the savings increase to $500 per kWh for new solar installations and $350 per kWh for existing ones. Typical battery systems range from 10 to 15 kWh, but larger homes may require systems over 20 kWh. Our vetted contractors can help you choose the best system for your home.

More Information
- Program enrollment is currently closed but is expected to reopen later in 2025. Once reopened, approved contractors will apply on your behalf. For updates, check back on our website.
- To participate, you must remain enrolled in Community Power service for at least five years. If you opt out before then, you may need to repay a portion of the rebate.
- Approved contractors are local to the San Diego area and in good standing with the Better Business Bureau. They are licensed and have experience installing battery systems.
