Overview

The Turlock Irrigation District offers a $500 rebate for homeowners who install a new heat pump system. This rebate applies to both replacing existing air conditioning units and adding new heat pump systems. To qualify, the heat pump must meet specific efficiency standards:

• Split systems: 15 SEER2
• Packaged systems: 15 SEER

Additionally, the cooling capacity should be less than 65,000 BTUs (5.4 tons). For split systems, a matching evaporative coil is required. Please note, this rebate is limited to two per household over the heat pump's useful life of 18 years.
