The Turlock Irrigation District offers a rebate of $300 for the purchase and installation of a qualifying Level 2 electric vehicle charger at your home. If you're enrolled in the CARES program, you can receive an additional $100 per charger, bringing the total rebate to $400. Please note that portable or mobile chargers do not qualify for this rebate.

- Rebate amount: $300 per charger, with a maximum of two chargers per household.
- Additional $100 per charger for customers enrolled in the CARES program, totaling $400 per charger.
- To apply, fill out a Residential Charger Rebate Form and provide copies of the following:
- Proof of purchase for a Level 2 Electric Vehicle Charger. The cost of the charger must be shown separate from the cost of installation.
- Current DMV registration for the qualifying electric vehicle.
- Rebate eligibility is determined at the time of application, based on the information received.
- TID is not responsible for any items delayed or lost in the mail.
- The qualified Electric Vehicle must:
- Be purchased at a retail automobile sales company. Private party sales, transfers between parties, gifts, prizes, or any other method of owning a vehicle other than purchase from a retail automobile sales company do not qualify for the program.
- Be registered with the California Department of Motor Vehicles at the address of the customer within the TID electric service territory.
- Be able to charge via plugging into an electrical outlet.
- Be a plug-in electric vehicle at the date of purchase or lease.
- Not be a motorcycle or scooter.
