Overview
Trinity Public Utilities District offers a $700 rebate for homeowners who install an energy-efficient electric heat pump. To qualify, split systems must have a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating (SEER2) of 14.3 or higher and a Heating Seasonal Performance Factor (HSPF2) of 7.5 or higher. Package units require a SEER2 of 14.2 or higher and an HSPF2 of 6.7 or higher. This rebate applies to both new constructions and retrofits. Installation must be performed by qualified contractors, and a Trinity County Building Permit and Inspection are required. Applications should be submitted to Trinity Public Utilities District, P.O. Box 1216, Weaverville, CA 96093, or via email to info@trinitypud.com.
