  • To qualify for the HEEHRA rebate, you must replace an existing heating or cooling system with a heat pump.

    • Households with incomes less than 80% of the area median income are eligible for up to $8,000.
    • Households with incomes between 80% and 150% of the area median income are eligible for up to $4,000.
  • The program is available in several states, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Indiana, Maine, Michigan, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Washington DC, and Wisconsin.
  • To apply, work with a TECH Clean California-certified and HEEHRA-trained contractor.
  • The program is first-come, first-served, with limited national capacity for only 320,000-562,000 households total.
  • The program is set to end on December 31, 2025.
