The EV Level 2 Residential Charger Rebate is a program offered by Riverside Public Utilities to encourage homeowners to install Level 2 electric vehicle chargers. This rebate provides up to $500 to help cover the cost of purchasing and installing a new Level 2 charger at your residence. To qualify, the charger must be wall-mounted and installed at your home within Riverside Public Utilities' service area. An electrical permit from the City of Riverside’s Building and Safety Division is required for the installation. Rebates are available on a first-come, first-served basis until funding is exhausted or the program is discontinued. Only one rebate per household is allowed every three years. Applications must be submitted within 180 days of completed installation. Rebates less than $500 will be applied as a bill credit, while rebates of $500 or more will be issued by check within 6 to 8 weeks.
