Rebate Overview
Overview
QuitCarbon is excited to share the SMUD Induction Cooktop/Range Rebate, a $100 rebate for homeowners replacing their electric resistance cooktops or ranges with induction models measuring 24 inches or larger. This offer applies to both standalone cooktops and ranges with built-in induction cooktops. Please note that portable units are not eligible for this rebate. To qualify, your rebate application must be received within 180 days of purchase.
Benefits
Upgrading to an induction cooktop or range offers several advantages. Induction cooking heats up nearly twice as fast as gas or standard electric cooktops, making meal preparation quicker and more efficient. Additionally, induction cooktops are more energy-efficient than traditional electric cooktops, potentially saving you money on your electric bill. The sealed surface design enhances safety by eliminating exposed heating elements or open flames, and the cooktop remains cool unless cookware is placed on it. Moreover, induction cooktops produce zero kitchen pollution, reducing the release of harmful pollutants like carbon monoxide and formaldehyde into your home's air. Cleaning is also easier due to the smooth surface, and precise digital controls allow for exact heat adjustments every time. Lastly, since the heat is focused directly on the pan, your kitchen stays cooler, and less heat is wasted, contributing to a more comfortable cooking environment.
