Overview

The Turlock Irrigation District offers a $500 rebate for homeowners who install a heat pump with a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) of 15 or higher.

More Information

• This rebate is available for replacing existing air conditioning systems or adding a new unit.
• The cooling capacity of the unit must be less than 65,000 British Thermal Units (5.4 tons).
• For split systems, a matching evaporative coil is required.
• Split systems using water or evaporative-cooled condensers may be eligible if the air conditioning system has a current (not archived) Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) reference number and efficiency rating.
• Rooftop installations must comply with code requirements for inspection access.
• Limit of two rebates per household during the useful life of the unit (18 years).
